CBSE Class 12 Result 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the results for the 2025 Class 12 board exams. Students can now access their results by visiting the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in. Additionally, they can view and download their scorecards from alternate sites, including results.cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in.
This year, the overall pass rate is 88.39%, showing a slight increase from 87.98% in 2024. As in previous years, girls have outperformed boys, demonstrating excellent academic achievements. A total of 17,04,367 students had registered for the exam, with 16,92,794 appearing for the test, and 14,96,307 successfully passing.
The top-performing region for this year’s exams is Vijayawada, with an impressive 99.60% pass rate, followed by Trivandrum at 99.32% and Chennai at 97.39%.

Steps to Download the CBSE Class 12 Result 2025:
- Visit the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in.
- On the homepage, locate and click on the link titled “CBSE 12th Result 2025”.
- A new window will pop up. Enter your roll number, admit card ID, date of birth, and any other necessary details. Then click on ‘Enter’.
- The result will be displayed on the screen.
- Review and download your scorecard.
Additionally, students can retrieve their CBSE Class 12 marksheets through DigiLocker. To obtain the official result copy, students need to log in using their valid credentials.
How To Check CBSE Class 12 Result on DigiLocker?
- Visit results.digilocker.gov.in.
- Select Class 12 Result.
- Log in using your roll number, class, and mother’s name.
- Click Submit.
- Your result will be shown. You can download it.

Check Result via SMS
- Open your SMS app.
- Type:

You will get your result by SMS.

- Download the UMANG app from Play Store or App Store.
- Open it and find the CBSE Class 12 Result option to check your result.
CBSE Class 12 Result 2025: Passing Criteria
Students are required to score at least 33% in their CBSE Class 12 exams to pass. In cases where students fall short of the passing mark by a small margin, grace marks may be granted.
On the day results are announced, CBSE will send the outcomes directly to the affiliated schools via registered emails. The schools will then print and distribute the original copies of the results to the students.
CBSE Class 12 Result 2025: Number of Students and Last Year’s Pass Percentage
This year, approximately 17.88 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 12 exams, which covered 120 subjects. The exams were held between February 15 and April 4.
In comparison, last year’s overall pass percentage stood at 87.98%, which was a slight improvement from the previous year (2023). Notably, Trivandrum was the top-performing district in 2024, with a pass percentage of 99.91%.
